From April 16 to 24 Union is opening the doors of its headquarters in San Vittore Olona (near Milan) for the final tests of a complete compounding line.

This is equipped with a 8-component loss-in-weight dosing system (2 for powders, 1 for liquid, and 5 for trims and granules), and a ZP92X twin-screw extruder with a TW 65 twin-screw side feeder. Features also include an automatic self-cleaning screenchanger and an inclined extrusion die, able to process “difficult” materials.

The downstream equipment includes a pull off with thermally-treated carbon steel cylinders and the related drying and stabilising systems. The line is fully automatic and controlled by a supervisory system for managing and recording all process parameters.
